The chip\u2019s metal-based structure mimics learning and<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">memory processes, converting short-term memory into long-term memory<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">through the application of light pulses and voltage control.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">The chip also has sensing abilities, enabling applications in autonomous<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">vehicle vision, medical imaging, and robotics. A prototype module mimics the<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">retina by detecting brightness and colors, retaining learned information even<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">after light is removed.
