Taiwan has inaugurated an office dedicated to the Taiwan Chip-based Industrial Innovation Program, under the stewardship of the National Science and Technology Council in Taipei.
The program, endorsed by the Executive Yuan, is set to inject US$9.25 billion into Taiwan’s tech sector from 2024 to 2033. It aims to merge generative AI with chip manufacturing, enhance workforce training, foster breakthroughs in technologies like IC design, and draw international startups and investments.
The new office will monitor global semiconductor trends, guide strategic tech planning, and promote cross-sector collaboration to solidify Taiwan’s prominence in the global semiconductor industry.
