EVs Take Center Stage at Taipei Auto Show

Major automakers showcased their latest models at the Taipei Auto Show, which opened on December 31 at the Taipei World Trade Center and concluded on January 4.

One of the main attractions was Tesla, which highlighted its newest electric vehicles, including updated passenger models and its electric pickup truck. While the company also displayed its second-generation humanoid robot, Optimus, the focus remained on its vehicle lineup. The Model Y continued to be Tesla’s best-selling car in Taiwan.

Another standout was the Foxtron Bria, a Taiwanese-developed all-electric crossover SUV that officially went on sale on December 25. The Bria marked Foxtron’s first mass-production electric vehicle under its own brand and reflected Hon Hai’s ambitions in the global EV market.

Foxtron also recently completed its acquisition of Luxgen, gaining full control of sales and after-sales operations in a move widely seen as reshaping Taiwan’s domestic automotive industry.
