Delta Develops Next-Generation Power Solutions for AI Infrastructure

Delta Electronics is developing advanced energy systems to support the growing power demands of AI data centres, as rapid AI adoption drives a new wave of infrastructure investment worldwide.

Chairman Cheng Ping said the industry is evolving beyond traditional cloud data centers toward more localized and enterprise-focused deployments, reflecting growing needs for security, reliability, and operational resilience.

To address rising electricity demand, Delta is expanding from conventional power equipment into integrated solutions spanning power generation, transmission, storage, and management. The company describes this approach as a “grid-to-chip” strategy designed to improve efficiency across the entire power chain.

Key technologies under development include solid oxide fuel cells, renewable energy integration, energy storage systems, and solid-state transformers capable of achieving efficiency rates of up to 98.5%. Delta is also exploring systems that reduce power conversion steps and recover waste heat to improve overall energy efficiency. The company sees next-generation power infrastructure as a major growth opportunity as AI computing continues to reshape global data center development
