Asustek Computer Inc. secured a NT$1.42 billion (US$44.14 million) contract to supply Nvidia GPU-powered servers to Cheng Uei Precision Industry Co. for Taiwan’s largest AI computing hub.
Asustek aims to quintuple server business revenue in five years, with AI servers already making up 70-80% of sales. The 128 AI servers will be installed in New Taipei City by Q4 2024, using Nvidia H100 GPUs, with plans to upgrade to GB200 GPUs.
The hub, operated by Ubilink.AI, a joint venture of Cheng Uei and Ubitus K.K., will eventually house 10,240 GPUs, offering top-tier AI services in Taiwan and Asia.
