Healthy Taiwan Initiative Drives Demand for Medical AI Solutions

Taiwan’s Executive Yuan has approved nearly US$1.6 billion for the five-year “Healthy Taiwan Deep-Cultivation Project,” a nationwide initiative aimed at accelerating healthcare digitalization and AI adoption. The program, which officially launched this year, is the largest AI healthcare initiative undertaken by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

An initial phase valued at more than US$300 million has already been deployed, creating new opportunities for leading medical AI providers. Companies including Ever Fortune.AI, Acer Medical, and aetherAI are reporting growing demand for AI-powered healthcare solutions.

EverFortune.AI said its 2026 order book is fully booked, supported by demand for medical AI software, cloud-based biomedical platforms, and AI care robots. Acer Medical is expanding collaborations in areas such as pediatric developmental assessment and diabetic retinopathy screening, while aetherAI continues to strengthen its position in digital pathology and AI-assisted diagnostics.

Industry participants expect the initiative to accelerate the adoption of AI technologies across Taiwan’s healthcare system while supporting long-term growth in medical innovation and digital health services.
