Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger thanked TSMC for their key role in developing Intel’s latest AI processor, Lunar Lake, unveiled at Computex. Designed for AI PCs, Lunar Lake offers 48 TOPS, improved GPU, and greater power efficiency, with up to 40% lower SoC power and triple the AI performance of its predecessor.
Gelsinger highlighted over 80 Lunar Lake designs from 20 OEMs, shipping in Q3, and praised the collaboration with TSMC and UCIe standards. Acer Chairman Jason Chen noted the rise of NPUs and their impact on user habits and applications.
Gelsinger also introduced the Xeon 6 processor for data centers, significantly improving efficiency, and announced prices for Gaudi 2 and Gaudi 3 accelerator kits.
