Nvidia Unveils Plan for AI Supercomputer in Taiwan

At Computex in Taipei, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced a partnership with Taiwan’s government, Foxconn, and TSMC to build the country’s first large-scale AI supercomputer.

The system will feature 10,000 Nvidia Blackwell GPUs and be delivered through Foxconn’s Big Innovation Company. It will support smart cities, electric vehicles, and advanced manufacturing, while boosting AI access for researchers, startups, and enterprises.

Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council will offer AI cloud services through the system. TSMC will use it to accelerate R&D. Nvidia says the initiative will power everything from driver-assistance systems to AI-driven automation and digital twins.

NSTC Minister Wu Cheng-Wen said the goal is to turn southern Taiwan into a hub for AI innovation and smart city development.
