NXP Semiconductors projected 8–12% annual growth in automotive and industrial IoT through 2027, driven by increasing chip use in vehicles, despite slowing EV sales and global uncertainty. The company emphasized regulatory compliance amid US-China trade restrictions, with China contributing 33% of its revenue last year.
In Taiwan, NXP partnered with Hon Hai and Foxtron to fast-track EV launches using its shorter development cycles.
Meanwhile, Hon Hai’s November revenue rose 3.47% year-on-year to $20.73 billion, boosted by AI servers and notebooks. It anticipated strong growth that quarter, with annual revenue set to hit a record high.
