SAS and AUO have established a strategic alliance to build a stronger green energy supply chain in Taiwan, capitalizing on global Net Zero pledges and Taiwan’s renewable energy policy.
Under the agreement, SAS will supply high-efficiency M10 monocrystalline PERC solar cells to AUO for its solar modules.
The partnership will strengthen Taiwan’s domestic energy industry by producing high-quality and efficient solar products locally, with AUO introducing reliability testing equipment in Taichung.
The vertical integration of SAS and AUO will facilitate planning and coordination, shorten the local supply chain, and secure Taiwan’s green energy industry’s resilience.
This partnership is significant in Taiwan’s transition to a sustainable and carbon-neutral future, with the country aiming for a decarbonized 2050 grid fueled up to 70% by renewables.
