Taiwan’s June Car Sales Top 34,000 Amid Mixed Trends

Taiwan registered 34,320 new cars in June, up 7.6% from May but down
17.5% year-on-year. First-half sales totaled 189,900 units, a 14.4% drop due
to U.S. tariff concerns.
Hotai Motor led with 11,400 units sold (33.4% share), including 9,728 Toyotas
and 1,730 Lexuses. Toyota’s H1 total rose 2.8% to 61,145 units. July sales for
Toyota and Lexus are projected at 16,300.
Top models: Toyota Corolla Cross (3,794), Tesla Model Y (1,357), and Toyota
RAV4 (1,336).
EV sales doubled from May to 2,840 units, led by Tesla (1,693) and Luxgen n7.
The n7’s H1 total reached 1,930 units.
Luxury car sales rose 6% from May but fell 39% year-on-year.
