Taiwan’s top solar panel maker, TSEC Corp., is participating in the Japan PV Expo in Tokyo, highlighting its decade-long presence in the Japanese market. With Japan installing 4–5 GW of solar capacity annually, TSEC sees growing opportunities, especially as Tokyo considers mandating solar panels for new homes starting in April 2025.
TSEC noted Japan’s high electricity costs and 200,000 new solar-equipped households per year as key demand drivers. The company aims to leverage its expertise in weather-resistant solar panels and salt flat solar farms, positioning itself as a strong competitor in Japan’s residential solar market.
