Taiwanese steelmaker YC Inox began operations at a new $80 million plant in Turkey’s Kocaeli Province in early 2025. The 53,000-square-meter facility, employing over 400 workers, produces steel pipes and plates with an initial annual output of 20,000 metric tons.
The plant is Inox’s second in Turkey, following one launched in 2022. The company plans to build three more facilities, positioning Turkey as a strategic hub for exports to Asia, Europe, and Africa. Founded in 1973, YC Inox also operates steel mills in Changhua and Yunlin, Taiwan.
