CHC Advances Inclusive Cycling in Taiwan

The Taiwan-based Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC) recently held an event in Taichung to promote inclusivity in cycling, aligning with the upcoming International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The event focused on Handcycle 2.0, an innovative device designed to enable individuals with disabilities to enjoy cycling using hand pedaling, with added electric power and smart features for enhanced experience and safety.

The event highlighted CHC’s commitment to making Taiwan a global model for accessibility, showcasing the new Handcycle’s capabilities, including IoT integration, safety alerts, and vital sign monitoring.

Additionally, CHC announced a convenient rental platform for the Handcycle, underscoring their mission to make cycling accessible to all, including the elderly and disabled, which represent about 15% of the global population.

CHC, backed by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and the cycling industry, continues to lead in developing accessible cycling technologies.
