Advantech Co. is targeting strong growth in edge artificial intelligence as computing shifts from cloud-based systems to real-world, on-site applications. According to embedded IoT president Miller Chang, rising demand for AI inference—requiring low latency, real-time response, and data privacy—is accelerating adoption across industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, and semiconductors.
With its long-standing focus on industrial edge computing, Advantech is well-positioned to benefit, with deployments already spanning automation, smart manufacturing, energy, retail, and robotics. The company also sees “physical AI”—integrating sensing, decision-making, and action—as a future growth driver.
Advantech plans to launch next-generation edge AI platforms delivering over 100 TOPS performance, as AI becomes a standard system feature. Its three-tier architecture—embedded modules, industry-specific appliances, and on-site servers—aims to support diverse applications and speed deployment.
At COMPUTEX Taipei 2026, Advantech will showcase its latest solutions and collaborate with partners including Intel, Nvidia, and Qualcomm to demonstrate cross-platform AI capabilities.
