The event attracted international buyers and hospital directors, facilitating over 500 matchmaking sessions. Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen emphasized the nation’s focus on biomedical innovation, highlighting legislative support and incentives in biotechnology.
The expo showcased Taiwan’s medical quality and innovation through its two major theme pavilions, focusing on medical excellence and innovative technologies. Plans for a “Geroscience Technology Innovation Summit” in 2024 were announced, addressing the elderly care industry’s needs.
The event also highlighted Taiwan’s role in AI in medicine, with its strengths in AI chip design and system integration. The expo’s focus on AI medical applications showcased advanced technologies for improving hospital management and patient care, reinforcing Taiwan as a significant player in global smart healthcare.
